    The Breath of Excalibur



    The search of a lifetime is nigh to close

    I know the treasure to be close at hand

    So near is the love, its balm is my repose

    My heart pounds harder the closer I stand

    I dare not touch the lovely flower

    That delicate creature that’d end my dreams

    Fire begging me to hold, has great power

    No, I must stand close and remain serene

    There will come a day- love’s reward we’ll pluck

    My charge and I will enjoy sweet repast

    Not sex, roll in the hay, nor a mere fuck

    Our joining e’er has been, and e’er will last

    Some name me fool o’er span of paces

    But I stand guard- inhaling love’s graces
