In the Garden of Florida

Sonnet for sue reddy-silverman

This [intlink id="359" type="category"]sonnet[/intlink] was written for my darling co-host at EWNN, Sue Reddy-Silverman. She requested it, and I am delivering. Enjoy this Sue…

In the Garden of Florida

South, in the heat of the peninsula

To the very end, a lover wanders

Roams the sultry garden of  Florida

And he can see one of nature’s wonders

A spunkier flower cannot be found

And more colorful petals, there are none

Vibrant stems, slick leaves- firm buds, pert, and round

A moist stamen begging to be undone

Her dear blossom widens for her man’s hand

The honey will flow wet, sticky, and sweet

She’ll quiver at the bee stinger’s demand

Then she’ll collapse- wilt at her lover’s feet

That flower, that wild bloom, that aroma

Teasing from the garden of Florida

It is so exciting to find someone with a talent either that they didn’t know they had or simply had not nurtured. Alex you were made for creating beautiful sonnets and I am beyond honored to have one dedicated to me. I love you for that as well as for spending your Sunday evenings with me on our show.

Thank you Sue. There was another hand that prodded me towards sonnets. A hand that told me it knew I had it me.

I love having you as co-host on the show…love it!
