A Call For You | Poetry | Sonnet

    July 8, 2011
    By Alex Crabtree

    sonnet love

This is my third published sonnet—I have few private ones stashed away—and I have to admit I am becoming quickly addicted. Thank you for the structure lesson…

    A Call For You

Goddamn my heart is lost without your hand

Reaching into my throat it calls your name

Oh please show yourself to this aching man

Speak to him soothe his soul ease his pain

Dancing in the dark bests no dance at all

Whispers in the mist drown out the great roar

The occasional word buffers the great fall

Flashing signs do make the yearning heart soar

If I could but find you take you keep you

We would marvel as one in all there is

Making love in noon’s sun night’s dark morn’s dew

Until Death’s Dealer comes to hold what’s his

Show yourself and bring me your delicate hand

One glory one love one woman one man

Years ago I started writing Flash Fiction for just the sheer enjoyment of writing, and now it has turned into a full blown addiction. I can't quit the horse, man! Another dirty little secret about me is my ability to write all kinds of web content. SEO content, articles, blog posts, manifests; you name it, I'll write it. Looking for some help?
