Awakening | Poetry

Poetry is once again coursing my veins as I become more in tune with the raw, primal emotions that spark and jolt my every breath. I seem to be the type that knows no middle ground, just one extreme or another. This piece is dedicated to the one person who seems to know how to get me to both extremes, and I love her for that…

Awakened

Where I slumbered

After years untold I stir

Knowledge of love has energized my soul

Ever her breath fills my empty and lonely heart

Never has life given so much light

Into darkness we can walk

Now we love

Gracefully
