Tomorrow, June 11th, 2010, our series, Building a Short Story, continues as we grow or story to 440 words.
Building a Short Story is about a process of writing a short story by starting with a micro-fiction piece, in our case a 55 word fiction tale, and rewriting it until we have a full fledged, thriving short story that weighs in somewhere between 1001 and 7000 words.
The catch is that we will rewrite the story by exactly doubling the word count with each edit.
Join us tomorrow as we take The Heart of the Hound from 220 to 440 words. Also, if you kids are playing along at home, don’t forget that we will be more than happy to put a link to your work at the bottom of every post.
