Letter to an Unnamed Teacher http://goo.gl/fb/i51sq #memoirs
We don’t always realize, do we, the impact we have on others. That really came across to me in this piece, Karen. And, like Bev, it made me really curious and wanting to know more.
The mysteriousness wasn’t an intentional stylistic device (sigh). I did think the tale would sound better with some details, but… Usually one can tell a story with quite a bit of detail, as long as they leave names out. That isn’t the case when the person is well known. If I’m refusing to look them up my own self, I’m not going to give other people the tools to do so. But at the moment I do, the mystery will go -poof- and… heck, I’ll have another music lens on Squidoo at that point.
“you said. “I really mean it,” you added as if I wouldn’t. As if I wouldn’t send you, for years and years, so many words…”
I know I understand a lot of what is buried in this outstanding post. I am not just saying this because I am a fan, but it really is good; the perfect vehicle for the hard to pull off 2nd person narrative!
Bravo!
