A powerful lesson, Kim. Drowning is not on my list anywhere of how I would like to “go.”

A powerful lesson indeed! Glad you made it out, and I know you will always make it out…

How frightening Kim…you in a world of watery fear, while the rest lolly-gagged out in the sun. What a lesson to have learned from this experience!

What a terrifying experience, Kim. Not only the fear of drowning but then realizing no one had even noticed this life changing moment. Kudos for turning this into a strength and seeing that you can save yourself, no matter the circumstances.

So many emotions stirred here, Kim. Felt the fear and panic (I share it!) and the relief that you made it. Sadness that a precious young life could have been taken out in a matter of a few seconds. Anger that no one was watching out for you. Joy that you made it and the lesson you got from it…saving ourselves is sometimes the hardest lesson to get.

Looking around afterwards and realizing no one noticed… that was not as terrifying, but I bet it was at least as haunting afterwards.
